This is a 5 week, Intermediate level course delivered in English to understand how to pronounce Sanskrit letters and Slokas correctly.

  • How to pronounce each letter distinctly and accurately
  • Become confident in reciting Mantras and slokas
  • Pronounce the standard prayers and scriptural verses with acceptable level accuracy
  • Distinguish the correct/incorrect pronunciation of text

You do not need to know how to read or write Sanskrit for this course, as the English Script will be used.  Recordings will also be made available if you are unable to attend some of the live sessions.

Audience: For those who have interest in learning the basics of Sanskrit, pronouncing Mantras and Prayers correctly.  This course offers the following subjects of study:

a. The necessity and importance of correct Sanskrit pronunciation.

b. Training is pronuning basic sounds and complex words.

c. Unlearning mispronunciations and training in daily prayers.

d. Training in pronouncing selected verses.
